Black people are almost twice as likely to experience infertility than white people — but they seek help for it about half as often. And fertility care isn’t the only place where Black people consistently experience disparities in their healthcare experience. To make sure Black people are getting access to the care they need, we need to discuss the disparities that exist across all lines of the healthcare system.
In this webinar, Carrot Experts doula Akilah Shaheed and Raquel Hammonds, NMD, MPH, discuss:
Equitable, accessible fertility care for all is our north star at Carrot. Closing the gap on healthcare disparities, improving access to culturally competent care, and increasing the representation of Black, Indigenous, and People of Color (BIPOC) in healthcare are all essential to provide high-quality care to all. If you're a Carrot member interested in finding a BIPOC provider, we're here to help. Sign in to your Carrot account and message a member of our Care Team.
